Description

Condition: this clock has been attractively restored, the mahogany case refinished and the movement professionally cleaned. The dial itself was not refinished and shows some oxidation on the silvered elements. In the arch of the dial are 3 subsidiary dials for Chime-Silent, Fast - Slow regulation, and Westminster - Eight Bell (Whittington) Chime selection. Note there are normally 9 bells when both tunes are played on the bells. The hour is struck on a large deep toned flat wire gong. Brass elements on the case include the heavy cast door, 4 flame finials, reeded side columns with Corinthian capitals, side frets, case handles and OG style bracket feet. Height 19.2 inches [49cm]
