Description

Condition: dirty and a novice would think it was original. A clock dealer in Southern Ohio had the Chinese convert a large number of these, and then carefully sold them one at a time to buyers who imagined they were old automatons. The shadow of the original gong shows in the case back; dial on newer splat. Still interesting; monk gives the appearance of hitting the bell with his arm when it strikes (if you attach wire properly). Height 26.5 inches [66cm]
