Description

Condition: Refinished mahogany veneered case in extra nice condition. Painted dial is in very nice condition with a little wear to gilding in the chapter ring. Seconds hand is a replacement. The other hands are period. The recent tablet has been properly painted on an old piece of glass. Weight pulleys are not original. A section of the backboard below the movement has been replaced. The case has no label, but was likely made by Spencer and Wooster and Co., while the C.1830 movement and dial were probably by Spencer, Hotchkiss and Co (note solid great wheels). Clean and running and superb looking. Would be $4500 if original. Height 33.5 inches [85.09 cm]
