Description
Condition: at some point the movement was replaced with a brass mov't. It has since been fitted with a proper wooden mov't. The dial appears to have always been with the clock, was drilled for the brass movt, and now repaired and filled, note also this alarm winds slightly higher than the original, so the alarm hole is re-drilled as well. Dial is still impressive with nice gilt chapter ring. No alarm weight. Best part is the imposing crotch mahogany Empire case with flaming birch insets. Would be worth $1500 if original. Height 40 inches [101cm]
