Description
Condition: Oak case is in very nice condition with remains of an original finish. Original paper dial has age darkened. Hands and pendulum are original. This may have been a model that Seth Thomas made for the Larkin Soap Co., as it does not appear in the catalog as a standard item. For reference, see Tran Ly's book on Seth Thomas, 3d Edition, Vol 1, page 91, showing identical Larkin model that we sold in 2003. This lot selling today does not have a label. Also note that the owner wound this Monthly and assures me it will run that long, however the movement style appears as an 8-day, and we are selling it as an 8-day. Ht 34.5" [87.6 cm]
