Description
Condition: this clock has been nicely restored. The surfaces of the base and top re-veneered with mahogany (old carcass is oak); the very top OG shaped trim has been recently cut from pine, and veneered. The Japy movement made with Farcot patent chaff cutter escapement with 2 escape wheels, and with countwheel strike on a bell, is clean and running. Retains original "doll in swing" with front-to-back motion. The ormolu capitals on the columns have been polished and lacquered. Ht 17" [43cm]
