Description
Condition: not a bad old clock, has seen its share of restoration over the years. The bottom tablet of Mount Vernon was nicely restored around 1965. The relatively early movement has a steel crutch, and attaches to the back via tapered pins through 2 diagonally mounted screws in the back-board. Sawin was one of the most prolific producers in the Boston area, and it could well be by him. Does have a nice set of repro barbed hands, good early weight, and movement and hardware are all original to the case; orig dial attaches with 3 turn screws. Note also relatively slender bracket under the clock. Ht 41" [103cm]
