Description

Condition: retains original dial, movement, hands, pendulum and weight. Center tablet is original [with flaking]; bottom tablet replaced and repainted to match throat. Note unique movement with maintaining power, Geneva winding stop and Graham style dead beat escapement. Mov't mounted on an extra board in the case back as Herschede was known to do (always been that way; color and finish match perfectly). Even the weight bears the matching serial number. This is another of the banjos from the Federal period house in Munson, Mass. Ht 42.5" [107cm]
