Description

Condition: Overall very good condition, the case nicely refinished, and the dial with gilt mask and gilt raised bronze numerals, gilding still bright. The well made movement with a Herschede crown, and then stamped under that mark Colonial Mfg. Co. Selection on the dial is for Whittington chime on 8 bells, Canterbury Chime on 6 bells, or Westminster chime on 4 tubular bells, with the hour strike on a 9th deep toned tube. The mahogany case is very similar to the following model (lot 451), except that it has fluted columns and a different finial. Keylock front door with original key. Lower door glass is beveled; balance flat glass. Has fancier pendulum with lyre trim. Ht 96" [244cm]
