Description
Condition: Mahogany veneered case in nice condition with original finish. Both glasses have been replaced and the gilt areas on the columns have been gold painted. 8-day movement was produced by Atkins and Downs; case dust covers still intact. Painted wooden dial is in very nice condition. Someone has written on the back of the dial Samuel Terry, 1827 (incorrect, modern pencil notation). With a repair label from Foxcroft, Maine, with an additional notation of Sam'l Terry in ballpoint pen. With original compounding pulleys and large iron weights. In better condition, it would be at least $1000. Ht 35.75" [90.6 cm]
