Description
Condition: It appears that at some time in its life, the original porcelain base to the clock was lost and a skilled carver made a wooden substitute with nice detail. The pendulum is missing, however replacements are available from Timesavers; note pendulum swings through slot in base and is visible through the orifice in front. The well made bell strike movement with silk thread suspension is ticking and striking (signed as in headline). Original porcelain dial is good with minor hairlines. A period antique that can still be appreciated despite the changed base; would be $600 if complete and original. Overall ht 14.5"
