Description
Condition: this clock is out of a house in Mass, and shows both signs of neglect as well as potential. The top to the case is recent, and the painted flowers on it are primitive by comparison to those on the case. The pendulum and all bells are lacking. The 13 piece dial is very good with a small chip in the 3 and a hairline on the 4. The dial center is signed as in the headline. Original gilt, pierced brass hands are finely fretted and engraved. The complex snail/ rackwork is in the rear of the movement; needs work. Some rot in softwood top, but rest of case is hardwood and looks OK. Lots of potential here for the workman with time on his hands. Width = 19" Height 33 inches
