Description

Condition: the original dial has been re-drilled, since at some time a kitchen clock movement was installed, and then a proper works located and the 2 newer holes filled (and expertly painted over). The bell is new, feet are modern with only fair veneer job, case refinished. Wooden dial supports are new (they had been removed with the original mov't swap). Replaced glasses are old; tablet is a respectable re-paint. The label is good with 1820 census figures, giving each state population, plus each county in Conn. Finials are modern, and the profile questionable. This clock is from Old Sturbridge Village, and their inventory number 57.1.233 shows it was acquired in 1957. Height 31 inches
