Description

Condition: the clock is running and striking. A couple of pivot holes have been re-bushed, with brass that extends beyond the frame a bit. The original fretted and engraved dial has Roman Numeral chapters, and with moon hands. The turned feet and rods which secure the clock to the base, pulled out of the frame at one time, and were moved farther outboard to gain new purchase. The bottom of the frame carries an engraved and silvered plaque with the name G. Rossi, Norwich, which was probably the retailer. Has 4 spoke wheels throughout, and the motion works are nicely spoked as well, urn shaped baluster pillars. Despite some restorations, still a decent old clock. Height of clock 13 inches Height with dome 17.5 inches
