Description
Condition: the well carved oak case was refinished some time ago, to a warm honey color. All of the finials and moldings on this clock have extra nice 3-dimensional detail. The well made single weight movement has maintaining power, a brass slide mount and a prominent imprint in the rear plate, "H-E Schutz Marke", in a horse-shoe shape. The company was in Freiburg, an affiliate of Gustav Becker, and the movement is identical to a Becker of the same period. The porcelain dial is perfect, and with original hands and seconds bit. About as impressive as an oak Vienna can get. Height 52 inches
