Description

Condition: except for the conversion to anchor 'scape, this clock is in reasonably good original condition, with original dial, bell and alarm disc intact (although alarm train is now absent). Has nice original engraving; frets and hands are period. Chain should be replaced with rope; uses standard meter pendulum. Weight is early brass sheathed. This is one of several clocks de-accessioned from the Wells collection at Old Sturbridge Village, in their inventory since 1957. It will not be too long until this clock has its 400th birthday. Height 16 inches
