Description

Condition: if you traveled in Austria in the 1950s, you would have seen one of these in many of the small post offices where you stopped to send post cards. They are a very practical clock, the movement mounting via 2 heavy brass pillars that extend clear through both front and rear plate, a very strong design. In addition, the pendulum has a hole and brass ferrule just above the bob, for screwing the pendulum in place for easy transport. The spade hands are large and easy to read. This particular clock is an excellent original example of the Austrian Postal clock. Height 40 inches
