Description
Condition: in 1931 someone with initials WDM put this Welch movement into the clock. He had to rout the sides to get the great wheels to clear. In the 1970s the clock was donated to the Maryland Historical Society, and there the time spring broke, bursting the right side of the case. We looked inside to ascertain the situation, took off the spring and that is how you get it. Great looking cast front in Egyptian revival theme, with original Verdi green finish and gold highlights. Height 14 inches
