Description
Condition: overall very good condition, with some minor veneer chips. Retains original dial, deer tablet, rosewood veneer, decent label (some losses and coming loose). This small lyre movement is marked Plymouth, and would have been assembled into this case shortly after the Civil war, as the label is Thomaston. The cord rollers are now made of aluminum, replacement weights made of lead. The alarm set wheel and alarm are missing, but could be replaced with old parts. This clock was sold to an eBay bidder in October 2005 (lot 259) and returned because the movement shook apart in transit; we put it back together (nothing missing) and it runs and strikes OK; could stand cleaning. It does look as nice as the fotos! Ht. 25"
