Description
Condition: this clock was found in an attic around 40 years ago and restored. The dial, weight and baffle were replaced, as best the workman could do. He also removed from the movement a quarter hour fall off strike and perhaps some type of alarm mechanism, either because the customer didn't care, or the mechanics frustrated him. There are several empty holes in each plate, and a cutout in the back of the case for a bell. This clock has potential for someone to complete the restoration in a proper manner. Interestingly, the case also has little gilt brass rosettes at all 8 corners, and they appear to have always been there. The inlay on the lower bracket is an urn with leaf display on an oval background. Case has been refinished. Height 41 inches
