Description

This was a clock with an 8-day spring movement made by New Haven in an attempt to compete with the German Viennas being brought in from Europe, and so quickly accepted by the American public. They offered a large and small version; it is unknown whether they made the cases or imported them. Condition - Walnut veneered case in very nice condition with an original finish. Original painted dial is in nice condition with a slight darkening from age. Hands are original. Movement is signed. Top finials are not original; could be darkened. Height 42 inches
