Description
Condition: this is a tough call, but in our estimation, a clock finished after Elmer's death. The quality of the case is only fair, with a thin backboard that failed and had to have the hanger attached with machine screws and nuts. The gilding and tablets are exceptional and the clock is very photogenic. Someone struggled to complete the dial signature as you can see a shadow where the name was lightly scratched in first before the black was added, and finally a little lacquer was applied over the signature, giving the area a shiny appearance. Finally the dial has 2 position holes that never received pins on this case. Height 42 inches
