Description

Condition: this is a one family clock, and except for an amateur paint job on the moon dial, has received good care. The young folks who inherited the clock did not want to bear the cost of cleaning, so decided to sell it. It has stood in one spot for the last 80+ years and that is evident in the clean condition. The clock is illustrated in Ly's longcase clock book, on page 80; the movement is illustrated on page 71, "Mov't No. 82, Imported Eight-Day Three Chime Nine Tubular Bell" The movement is signed W+H, for Winterhalder and Hofmeier. Good brass dial. Beveled glass in lower front door. Weight through bottom panel once. Height 97 inches
