Description
Condition: This clock is very special, with original gold leaf presentation on the glass, and with an original letter, penned in 1883, listing the 2 dozen presenters, part of the text reading "..his friends present this clock with our Christmas greetings and the hope that he may hear its cheerful tick for many years to come, December 25, 1883". The light mahogany case appears almost like walnut with wonderful original finish. Original gilt numerals on black painted dial and with original Howard signature on dial as well. This clock sold last at Hubley and Co, Cambridge, Mass in 1968. Height 51 inches
