Details: Mr. Mather bought this clock from Bill Dupras who bought it from Charles Tarr of Wolfeboro, NH. Mr. Tarr acquired the clock (with the Waltham movement in place) in 1959 from Nick Salvatore who found it in the dump when dumping trash for Westinghouse. Included with the lot is the entire story of restoration from 1959 to 1993, when Martha Smallwood re-painted the wooden dial, plus copious correspondence between Martha and Mr. Tarr. Hands and weight newly made. Height 28 inches
