Description
Another clock from the same collector. The top metal is dark, probably a Syrian Bronze finish. The base which is normally enameled black on iron is the shade of Japanese Bronze, with a slight green look, somewhere between bronze and green. The etched designs are black filled. Case is 16.5 inches high, 19.5 inches wide, complete, and all original. 8 day movement, strikes a gong on half hours, running. 2-piece porcelain dial is good, but dirty around the edges and the arbors. Open escapement, beveled glass, and correct pendulum and key. Ly-Ansonia No. 493.
