Description

The entire back of the case is covered with a sheet of brass with a brass door opening and latch. The large case is almost 36 inches long, with many objects cast onto the case. On each side is a large lion and the head of some mythical God. Standing in the middle is a large soldier with his lance. The one-piece porcelain dial ring is just over 5.5 inches, marked for Roman and Arabic, brass insert in the middle. The hands are original. The only flaw anywhere is a chip at 12 o'clock on the dial. You should have the porcelain chip repaired or an identical dial made and that would make this clock a definite keeper. We can provide you with names of people who can repair the dial. This is a very heavy clock.
