Description
New Haven bought the bankrupt Jerome Mfg. Co. in 1856. Jerome made beehive clocks, there is no evidence I see where New Haven made a beehive. I would guess New Haven used Jerome's left over movements and cases, and put their label in them. The original zinc dial is a style used by New Haven throughout most of their existence. Both glasses appear to be original; inside the case is a complete label. The alarm rings on an iron bell and the clock strikes on a coil gong. Mahogany veneer case is 19 inches high, overall in very good condition excepting some minor chips, largely near the door knob. Ly-New Haven, gives the history of both Jerome and NH.
