Description
One of the cleanest we have had, or seen, in some time. Very little mother-of-pearl is missing. Looped brass wire inlay on the outside bezel and inside around the dial. MOP and brass is brighter under the top door, naturally. Wood case painted black, is 25 inches high, 21 inches wide, beveled and scrolled all around. The only flaw I see is a small tip on one of the bezel angles is chipped off. A perfect 9.5 inches milk glass dial, signed by the maker, "Guilloux" and his town, "StDENIS-D'ANJOU". 8 day square plate movement, strikes a large coil gong, and is running. The old wood case is exceptionally clean inside and out, again, one of the nicest we have seen.
