Description
This is an unusual clock and different from other Vienna's in several ways. It certainly is very similar to the Kroeber Vienna's but it is not signed or marked anywhere other than a number on the movement. First and foremost the case style is different; it is long and slim with a different headpiece style; slanted or beveled doors with good looking half columns each side; fluted or grooved trim on the door base and below the door, also on the top above the door; and it is ebony like the Kroeber Vienna. Other unusual features are; swirls on the bob, solid pulleys, and the seconds bit. Excellent two-piece porcelain dial and porcelain beat scale. Brass movement holder, pendulum, weights, pulleys, dial rings, and wall levelers, all very nice. Ebony case is just less than 50 inches high, and has very little wear of the paint. You surely agree that it is not your normal every day Vienna.
