Description
One of Ingahams more interesting and collectable clocks. They patented this case design May 6, 1873. Notations on the case indicate this clock was bought in July 1875. The clock is near mint in all ways. The 18 inches high rosewood case has been rubbed out and has only one small chigger bite on the top-back. The gold leafed balls are all original and retain a large portion of the gold. The dial has darkened as is typical when they are exposed to the air and light, but it is still in very good condition. The hands are original, excellent round green label on the back. 8 day time and striking movement has been cleaned, oiled, and is running. Ly-Ingraham, page 260.
