Description

Light walnut case is 51 inches long, has been refinished and strengthened in a few places. The top is permanently attached to the case. A couple of trim pieces on each side of the carved top ornament, appear to be new. All finials match and we feel are original. This clock was in the shop being updated when it came to us. The side glasses and pendulum suspension are missing. There are small wood splits in a couple of places, and a place or two where the veneer is scabbed on the edge. Clean eight day movement will run with thumb power so no reason to think it won't run with the pendulum attached. The two-piece porcelain dial has hairlines around the hand arbor. The hands, porcelain beat scale, and etched pulley, all are original. All brass is shining and clean. The weight has been nicked a few times but is very serviceable. Ebony paint around the door glass, below the door, and in grooves of the half columns. A good looking clock not lacking much.
