Description

Ansonia Clock Company made an almost identical clock called "Florida and Group, No. 1089", ca 1894. See Ly-Ansonia No. 1474. About the only difference in the two clocks is the movement. Both are 28 inches high, finished with very similar colors. Several different shades of bronze and gold were used by the French and Ansonia. Bruce Baziluk refinished this one for me several years ago in a Verde Bronze, or copper bronze color. We have enjoyed it several years but other clocks have taken its place. It has the usual 8 day round movement, bell strike, outside count, and is running nicely. Complete in all respects; correct back door, French sash, beveled glass, all brass dial with white cartouche numerals. No. 252 is very nice but cherubs are more poplar.
