Description

No major restoration was necessary as all three pieces retain their original silver finish. We seldom see the rare models that have not been completely refinished. The only part that is not silver is the dial cutouts and dial center. You probably cannot see the dial center clearly in the picture, but in the very center is the extremely rare "woman in the hammock", which is part of, and just below, the visible escapement. The Lydia is 19.5 inches high and the pitchers are 16 inches. All the pieces have numerous figures and things cast in the body or attached to the items, i.e. dolphin feet, cherubs, women, eagle, etc. The movement is 8 day, half hour gong strike, running. Folks, they do not get any better than this one. Ly-Ansonia No. 1585 and No. 2942.
