Description

During the 1850's thru 1870's, New Haven sold a large number of clocks in England thru their own sales and thru the American Clock Company that they were affiliated with. This style clock was poplar in England and few if any were marketed in the US. Like many clocks made in England the top bezel, dial, etc. is held to the case body with 4 pegs. This case has been refinished to perfection and the dial has new paper. Mahogany veneered case is 27 inches long, lots of string inlay, round wood pieces inlaid, carved wings on the sides, and carved piece in the bottom door. 8 day, strikes a coil gong, running. Great looking wall clock.
