Description
From the ripple like molding around the top and other brass trim below the dome, there are cherubs or some unworldly creatures on the front corners. There is more brass on the front below the dial, around the base, and the four brass feet. The bezel is a heavy brass with a large bowedbeveled glass over the heavy brass filigreed dial. The Roman cartouche numerals show the hours and the Arabic numbers are etched outside on the solid ring. The 8 day movement is signed, "M on Wurtle, Horlogerie, E. Piefort Succ". There is an outside count wheel and it strikes hours and half hours on a large standing gong, and is running nicely.
