Description

There could have been a roof at one time. The wood bird is on a metal mount, long, sleek, wings, which is an earlier type. The 8-day movement has square plates that are pinned, which in my opinion dates the clock to pre 1900. The all wood case stands 13.25 inches high, is well made, and in very good condition. The bellows have been in place a long time but I would say they are not original, numerals and hands are also replaced. Movement springs in spring barrels, strikes half hours and hours on a coil gong. A change of hands and you will have a nice inexpensive shelf cuckoo.
