The dial appears to have never been touched, and it should be if you want a nice looking mantle clock. Large time ring and subsidiary rings for Chime-Silent and Slow-Fast, are overlaid on a larger silver plate. All are soiled. Mahogany case is 17 inches high. Full front door has 4 full columns and a large beveled glass. Chimes are played on the quarters, 8 hammers, 5 gong rods. The 8 day movement is signed and has a serial number 2293351, inscribed, which dates the clock to about 1926. I would recommend the movement be serviced
