Description
This is an Ithaca factory reissue clock that has fooled several "experts". Calendar clock collectors have examined the case and proclaimed it a near perfect, original 1880 model. The walnut case is 32 inches long, removable carved top piece, very attractive base held by 3 screws. Case parts are numbered "50", burl walnut veneer on the applied front pieces, copy of old Ithaca label on the backboard. The 8 day upper movement, and calendar movement, were made in "India". The pendulum bob with attached metal hanger, is identical to those in the original calendars. Ly-Calendar, page 140.
