Edwardian desk clock, French antique clock with inlay, 8 day. CIRCA: 1900 SIZE: 9 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 3" with 3 1/2" porcelain dial MAKER: Unmarked other than "Made in France" DESCRIPTION: Solid mahogany case with an exquisite inlay design. Beautiful original finish. The clock sits on four brass bun feet. The porcelain dial, hands, bezel and dust cover are original and in excellent condition. There are two tiny impressions in the wood on the left side at the 3 o'clock position. See photos. The clock movement was professionally rebuilt. It is a week duration time piece with jeweled platform escapement. The original convexed beveled crystal has a small chip at the 2 o'clock position, it is hardly noticeable but had to be mentioned, see photo. This is a very unusual, high quality inlaid clock in excellent condition.
