Description
Condition: The ebonised case has ormolu trim and feet, with some oxidation and discoloration. The rear door netting is absent; the rear door lock is in a cup inside the case. The clock has been in storage for many years in Illinois, and the bells have tarnished, but still sound fine. You select chime on 8 bells or Westminster on 4 bells. The hours are struck on a large flat wire gong, that is on a replaced standard. Heavy and robust 3-chain fusee movement is dirty but still tries to tick. Original pendulum and tie down are intact.
