Description
Condition: Stripped oak case in very nice clean condition Original painted dial is very clean with a small circular scratch and very small flaked area. Hands and pendulum are original. A three wheel self-winding movement was invented by Henry Rempe, a jeweler in Danville, who was granted two patents related to electric winding mechanisms. He started a business to manufacture clocks based on his patents to compete against the Self-Winding Clock Co., but was not successful and failed in 1906 or 7. Also included is an original Rempe catalog and an article from an NAWCC bulletin (Jerry loaned this catalog to Nawcc for photocopying prior to his death). Height 43 inches
