Description
The bowl is resting on a metal base, with metal ornaments attached sides and top. The porcelain has a lion fired into the case on the left side and fleur de leis scattered around the case, all highlighted with gold. Attached to the sides are mythical sea serpents, and on top is a bird with her nest and 3 eggs. A little over 16 inches high. There are no breaks or repairs to the porcelain case, it looks perfect. Porcelain dial ring has several hairlines all around, brass inner dial, beveled glass in the cast sash. Metal back cover, brass movement has a fixed pendulum. The movement is signed, "Fot-Bte", with a shield and anchor between the letters. The trademark books show no real identification other than they acknowledge it is a French maker. I removed some tape holding the pendulum and it is running strong just like all the clocks from this collection.
