Description
2 or 3 German companies used a bell trademark. The 8 day movement has enclosed spring barrels, strikes a gong on the hours and running strong. The dial ring is wood, dark with a slick finish, inlaid pearl numerals. The dial board is also a light colored wood. A wood bezel holds the square glass. Note the 4 carved pieces on all 4 sides of the bezel. The wood case is just less than 15 inch square. A hinged door on the back apparently is a modern addition to more easily access the movement and pendulum. Nice old gallery, all original.
