Description

There are many cast bronze pieces put together to form this monstrosity. All kinds of characters, from angels, lions, goddesses, vines and branches galore. The bronze dial has cartouche numerals behind the cutout dial cover, there is a beveled glass in the sash. A cartouche insert reads, "Boer & Fils, a La Haye". An engraving on the base says, 1857-1882, Zijne Dankbare, Gerneentenaren 7 December". I doubt the case every had a cleaning solution on it. I paid 750 dollars for this museum piece several years ago. Yes I also owned an Edsel.
