Description
The clock is a lot bigger and more elaborate than the books would lead you to believe. When original the ornaments were finished in Verde bronze, but like all metal clocks in this collection the metal ornaments are now bare, and have a pewter look. That is not all bad. It is still a great looking clock, but if you choose to, it is ready to put a new finish on the ornaments. The black metal is very nice as is. The 4 metal columns are evidently brass as they still has the brass look. 8 day movement strikes half hour and hours on a gong, and is running. 2 piece porcelain dial with open escape, sash with beveled glass, are all perfect. The iron case is 17.75 inches high, 13.5 inches wide. Ly-Ansonia #1050.
