Description

Typical Seth Thomas porcelain dial in that it is chipped around the winding arbors. An exceptionally thick beveled glass in the sash. The 8 day movement is signed, "Seth Thomas Sons & Co. Thomaston, Conn", and the name, "R. Kaisor", that I frequently see on this company's movements. To learn all about R. Kaisor read the Bulletin, Whole Number 162, page 1002. This clock depicting an angel and child is ca 1876, and is their catalog No. 8001. The metal case is 16.5 inches high, metal still in surprising good condition. Round movement strikes a bell in the French style. The pendulum is not correct. That Bulletin article will also tell you about the round movement. Ly-American, Volume 2, page 292.
