Description
Chime movement is signed "Willcocks-Canada, Pat. App. for 1896" and "USA patent app. for". New Haven bought the rights to use the patented chimes. Our clock closely resembles some New Haven cases, but may have been made by Willcock. The brass face is missing as is the standing gongs. I probably have them listed with the parts in the back of the catalog. Both movements are intact and compete, and look identical to those pictured in Ly-New Haven, page 95. Mahogany case is 14 inches high, has brass on the front door, brass side windows, wood feet intact, one of the hands. So many of the Houston collection in this catalog were works in progress and parts got separated in the packing, moving, and storage.
