Description

Dark mahogany case has not been cleaned, retains the original finish. There are full Corinthian columns, carved capitals, carving around the dial board, top and base, and other places. The wooden dial has 12 large cartouche Roman numerals each outlined with inlaid brass, original brass hands. 8 day French movement, striking a coil gong, running nicely. The movement and back of dial, both marked, "8527". This is a very large and heavy case, 30 inches high, and 21 inches wide. The front, excluding the columns, is a squaredoor that opens to access the pendulum and movement.
