Description
The large statue and base stands 26 inches high, statue by itself is 19 inch. A plaque on the base of the statue says, "En Vedette, par Aug. Moreau", and his name, "Aug Moreau" was cast into the base. Base is a dark blood red with black veins and has no noticeable chips or cracks, except in the back edge around the metal feet you may find a small flake off. Cream porcelain dial with a painted garland of flowers, dial marked for hours in Arabic and an outside ring marked for 60 minutes. Beveled glass in the sash, all extra nice. 8 day French movement with the trademark of "L. Marti", stamped on the plate. Bell strike, out-side count, typical of most all round French movements. The two side pieces are 26.5 inches high, the original finish a lot more worn than on the clock metal, but the wear is in places you would grasp it to pick it up. Some places on the metal feet have been under stress and repaired.
